He shares the history of the oldest Hawaii tournament and why it is Hawaii’s most prestigious event . Spectators are free and welcome.

Kelly Fliear, Tournament Manager, Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai Tuesday Jan 17-Sat. Jan. 21 talks about the Rotary Club of Kona volunteer effort led by co-chairs Kris Hazard and Larry Webb. Fliear talks about the beneficiaries of monies raised including the  Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation, Big Island Junior Golf and the Daniel R Sayre Foundation.

The field of 50 PGA Champions Tour players  who play includes Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, John Daly, Rocco Mediate, Olin Browne, Fred Couples and defending champion Duffy Waldorf. Discounted advance tickets are available at  pgatour.com/mec  $25 day/$45/week and to sign up to volunteer visit hualalaivolunteers.org

      <title>2016 Emily talk story with Jordan Ropp, Waikoloa Beach Resort Assistant Golf Professional</title>

        <![CDATA[Jordan Ropp, Assistant Pro Waikoloa Beach Resort Kings' and Beach Course shares how he got into the business of golf and his experiences as a registered apprentice going through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) Program. He recently attended the PGA Education Center for PGA Apprentices and the PGA Golf Management University and talks about the classes and tests required for becoming a PGA of America member. 

Jordan shares how becoming a golf professional has given him an opportunity to use his college degree in Exercise and Sports Science. He encourages junior golfers to be aware of the many ways one can be part of the golf industry.

Winona Chen, Bike Works talks about the Annual Lavaman Waikoloa weekend in april at Waikoloa Beach Resort with athletes from all over the country. Kicks off each year with the Bike Works 5k Walk/Run at Queens Marketplace to benefit PATH and ALS TDI.
